This work is part of a larger project to measure ultra-fine particles in Paris as part of a collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies and the City of Paris (2022-2024).
The objective of the work is to study the correlation between PUF measurements near a major road axis and the type of traffic circulating there. The experiment will be carried out at the Airparif reference station on Boulevard Haussmann.
A camera for collecting data on road traffic was installed near the measuring station during the 2nd measurement campaign which was carried out during the summer of 2023. This collects on a very fine temporal scale (every few seconds), for each vehicle circulating along the station, the type of vehicle (VL, VUL, 2WD, TC, PL, Bicycle) and its speed of circulation, which will make it possible to analyze the PUF levels with regard to the composition of road traffic and traffic conditions near the Boulevard Haussmann station.
The valuation of the results is expected for the second half of 2024.
